Back in January 2018; Filmarena Collection revealed a glimpse at a WEA Exclusive Steelbook, now after some fine tuning and some subsequent design changes… they are back with a release planned soon in 3D and 4K UHD configuration.
Filmarena are aiming to make both these Steelbooks REGION FREE.
Interior imagery inside the steelbooks feature Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) and The T-1000 (Robert Patrick).
We contacted Filmarena Collection (more or less as soon as the release was announced) with an opinion regarding the “A” facing the wrong way on the release/Arnold’s photoshopped shotgun and we explained that they had become slightly annoying to a majority of fans. Filmarena took it on board right away and fixed the A in Terminator which makes this a pretty unique Steelbook, regarding the Terminator 2 Judgment Day 3D/4K remaster.
Filmarena Collection have obviously put a lot of time and thought into this release; and many months later their Terminator 2 release is nearer than ever.
The Steelbook will feature 3 discs with the 4K UHD (Theatrical Cut) and 3D theatrical cuts being specific to the individual Steelbooks shown, then both releases additionally containing + BD remastered movie (Theatrical Cut + Bonuses) + BD original movie (All The Three Cuts = Theatrical Cut, Special Cut and Ultimate Cut).
The initial plan is for this release to have a glossy embossed Steelbook with a pearl effect. However, Filmarena Collection wanted to do some tests before fully confirming this as being part of the final release. The navigational menu is also in line with what Terminator Fans have come to expect.
A ‘fullslip’ was also promised for this release displayed earlier in the year…
A collector’s box set edition is also planned and is set to contain BOTH Steelbook editions of Terminator 2: Judgment Day in 3D and 4K UHD.

I’d like to have them…
Since I missed out on the endo arm edition I may pick this one up. I do like the classic cover better. Though I do like the full endoskeleton on the new design. I can’t decide so I think I’ll wait for the collector’s box set edition.
Just bought my replacement Endo Arm Special Edition… replacing the original that was canceled. I’m ecstatic.
That is great news. Remember to keep it hidden from Cyberdyne, they’ll take it for research given a chance.
