Fans had been anticipating the return of other key cast members in the next Terminator movie. The studio has seemingly opted for a full on reboot of the franchise, meaning the continuation fans had long dreamed of won’t be happening.
We have all seen the recent casting rumors which have been confirmed but there was one other rumor going around recently and that was that both Michael Biehn and Linda Hamilton were set for a return in the new Terminator movie. With those rumors in mind the original conclusion is that this could have ‘biehn’ a severe time travel movie with interweaving plots that could have seen the original actors like Michael Biehn and Linda Hamilton return with some genius script writing. After all,- of all the movie franchises Terminator has time travel and alternative timelines/dimensions and all kinds of plot devices.
We can now destroy that rumor or at least 50% of it.
An official representative of Michael Biehn and Blanc-Biehn Productions has informed us:
“He has never heard of the remake or been contacted”
In regard to Biehn and Hamilton returning in the next Terminator movie:
“The return of Michael Biehn and Linda Hamilton in the next Terminator movie were just rumors in the first place, but if they are making it and leaked that he may be doing it with Linda (the reboot), then these were just rumors to him as he has never even spoke to anyone.”
The original report was ran by the tabloid British Newspaper ‘The Daily Mirror’. Apparently they spoke to a source involved with Terminator (2015) who released this information to them. Could Annapurna and Skydance have spread these rumors to bring attention or was it simply an embellishment via a confused news reporter?

We can’t speak for Linda Hamilton but we also assume she hasn’t had any calls either.
Finally some truth to the Terminator (2015) movies rumors… The Rock this, antique weapons that, Arnold Schwarzenegger human, Arnold Schwarzenegger good old boring Terminator and protector of young frail people… YAWN. Maybe Elton John will be the bad Terminator seeking vengeance in this movie, after all; Arnold stole and broke his glasses in the last Terminator movie he starred in (T3).
The people involved in ‘Terminator (2015)’ appear to be of questionable talent, Arnold Schwarzenegger lives in the land of delusion where he believes one-liners are still hip (not that it damages the believability of his movies if forced). This needs to be a Terminator movie not a ‘Schwarzenegger Vehicle’ to ride back to the top, or else his car is going to crash and burn into the Hollywood sign on the way up there. “No… I am not shitting you”!
Also Arnold Schwarzenegger needs to understand that Terminators come from a place void of sunlight (2029)… So being bright orange with a tan and orange tinted hair is unacceptable, we need this guy pale and evil again not orange and fucking friendly like in T3.
The general opinion of the reboot is a thumbs down from most people, they feel cheated and we would have accepted a reboot continuation that left off from any of the last 3 previous movies.
TheTerminatorFans.com would have loved to see any of these ideas rather than a reboot:
- A Reboot which continues from T2 in which we could have seen a sequel to the second movie – In this reality Sarah never died and we bring back the great Hamilton. It could be the Terminator 3 we always wanted.
- A Reboot from T3- The bombs fell – the movie begins where Kate Brewster and John Connor emerge from the seal doors of Crystal Peak fallout shelter.- Sarah Connor faked her death (which we mentioned back in 2009 before the release of Salvation) for reasons unknown to John. She returns in a future war setting.
- A sequel to Salvation: We continue the war, SkyNet launches permanent Darkness on mankind and call the movie Terminator 5, the owners then help The Halcyon Company to re-brand Salvation to Terminator 4: Salvation- for all future DVD/Blu-Ray Box-sets.
So they could have faked Sarah Connor’s death or deleted a movie or two from the most recent sequels but how on earth would you bring back Michael Biehn? John Connor never saw the remains of his mother scattered, this could have been a case of ‘hear say’. However… Sarah Connor did see Kyle Reese dead but was he really?
That idea to us was done best in Dark Horse Comic series ‘The Terminator: 2029 to 1984’.
It instead explains that Kyle Reese never died but a government coverup took place where he was resuscitated and brought back from near death to be probed for information as a prisoner to the government.
So if the next Terminator movie could have been set as a present day sequel; Sarah and/or Kyle could have been reunited.
We just wanted at least a few key-players on the scene and behind the camera to return or else it just isn’t a real Terminator movie.
Against the reboot (like us) or for it? Let us know on Facebook, Twitter and our forum.

Great and they dont need arnold anymore, terminator franchise need a fresh reboot.
No. They just need to continue the story from Salvation and bring us the future war once and for all. No more time travel. No more pussy footing around. Just give us what we want. Explosions, lasers, robots, and the men and women trying to stop it all. The only time travel or reference to the past that I want to see is when Kyle and the terminator go back in time at the end of the movie like it should be.
I totally agree on everything you said 2 Skare! We have all been waiting to see what this future war looks like, including the evolution of the Terminators and the weapons the humans use. The one idea that I would have liked to have seen is the back story (future story) of the Terminator. For example: Where did they come up with the look of the human looking Terminator? Was he a copy of someone that really existed in the resistance, that was close to John Connor? Is he still an active fighter or general in the resistance? How did Skynet use this to their advantage? ….Etc. You get my point! I could write this!!! I hope they don’t screw up this franchise!
Never had seen that scene play in the end of THE TERMINATOR or in the comic book at all. Even though that time I wasn’t even into comics during my time in the ’80s.
This whole reboot thing is not making me happy. The original films are too great to be made into a reboot. I too want a nice sequel. I really liked the 2nd idea that you suggested. A sequel to T3. Sarah has not yet died. She’s alive and had faked her death for unknown reasons. Maybe she can tell us how Skynet came up again in T3, when in T2 Sarah destroyed the whole skynet facility. Bring back Linda Hamilton. That’s be just good for this series.
I agree with the rebooting thing, but they pretty much explained how Skynet existed in T3. The main Cyberdine facility was destroyed, but the military/air force was also pretty much funding the project, and the military had “detailed files” so that they could continue working on the project.
Thanks for saying this. I didn’t know that before
I think Arnie will insist on a prominent role, so he’ll either be a human or Model T-101 – or both perhaps? Although I’m inclined to agree with nakkuunen.
This film needs to be downright horrific, horrible, bloody but not for the sake of gore, and all the other things you’d associate with destroying or utilising mankind.
I definitely do not want to see a guns blazing and the hero never gets shot, whilst all around him they are falling like ten-pins. That would be ridiculous.
well i always want michael back but with this reboot idk no, also why arnold must play a good terminator again? he should play the bad one !

Just saw this movie on Netflix and was very disappointed. It was the trio who the Terminator franchise work and not just Arnold, when two of the three key ingredients are removed all that remains is a rather poor story. In my opinion I gave this film both thumbs and all 10 toes a giant “DOWN.”
