Colombian actress, Natalia Reyes, spoke to Den of Geek at Comic-Con about Terminator: Dark Fate and stepping into the role of Dani Ramos.
As someone more used to smaller and more independent productions, Natalia told Den of Geek the following regarding Terminator: Dark Fate:
“I come from a more independent film world, and it was all new, but really exciting and fun.
Natalia Reyes told Den of Geek
It’s a big action movie and it was really exhausting. We had so much work. The stunts and rehearsals, and guns, and action. It’s action everywhere, and that’s really challenging.”
Reyes describes her character ‘Dani Ramos’:
“Small, but really strong, badass and brave. Says what she thinks, she has a big heart, she works hard, she knows she has to help her family, she has Diego, her brother, her father, her dog. And she has just a little simple life. And suddenly, it’s upside down because this new Terminator wants to kill her.”

Dani Ramos will be joined by three main protectors in the movie, in the form of Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton), Grace (Mackenzie Davis) and, of course, an aged T-800 named Carl (Arnold Schwarzenegger).
They will all be safeguarding Dani from REV 9 (Gabriel Luna); a Terminator from a new timeline born from the consequences of choices/events of Terminator 2: Judgment Day. In this timeline SkyNet is replaced by the A.I. villain of LEGION.
“It’s like a road trip of these three females getting together and helping each other and trying to understand why is this all happening, Grace and our beloved Linda Hamilton, Sarah Connor, just come and they help me escape, and trying to understand why…I think Linda is back to reveal that. And you can see that in the trailer, that she says, ‘Because I was here.’ She knows exactly how it is like to be chased by a Terminator. She knows how to fight them, so that’s why she’s helping me, and I think that’s the exciting thing about this movie. That we are going to find out why am I so important in the future.”
Natalia Reyes told Den of Geek
So, pretty much the same as most other Terminator movies (especially the first 2) – where the target is trying to understand why they are actually a target at all but we are sure Carl and Sarah Connor will explain everything to the audience and Dani Ramos with the aid of good old James Cameron-style exposition.

Why do all of them keep insisting on all of the female leads being badasses? They’re so obsessed with that marketing line.
Yeah, Dani Ramos. What a badass, protected by three warriors instead of two: a hybrid, a cyborg, and a veteran vigilante.
She’s new, unproven, and vulnerable; stop calling her a badass. Sarah Connor wasn’t a badass in The Terminator, she survived. Same for Ripley in Alien. I hate this stupid, ass-kissing, Hollywoke mindset. Why don’t you kiss my ass and make a Terminator film that isn’t subversive trash?
