Robert Patrick Set to Make Return as New T-1000 in Terminator 7?

While many Terminator Fans would rather the Terminator franchise take a vacation for a while; there are still fans who want the franchise to go storming ahead with another Terminator movie… it is unknown if the studios feel the same way, regarding wanting to make more – especially with the amount of money they keep haemorrhaging with each outing.

    T-1000 Robert Patrick The Galleria

Hot on the heels of the news that James Cameron might want to make a future war Terminator movie, We Got This Covered are back with potentially more interesting Terminator news to add to their fast-growing Terminator stack, which includes – the Hulu Terminator: Dark Fate series (they previously reported on), James Cameron’s Future War movie, and now… a source close to We Got This Covered has stated that…

“Robert Patrick is being eyed for an unlikely return as a different version of the T-1000 in a future Terminator project.”

    We Got This Covered

We love Terminator: Judgment Day legend Robert Patrick, but do we want him to be the next actor to stain their Terminator legacy with a sub-par Terminator movie? NEGATIVE.

We talked about aging the T-800 and T-1000 in our 2012 article Terminator: The Aging Process. So it is possible to also age the T-1000 in many ways; in the same way it is to age Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s characters, but if they did bring Robert Patrick back… is it just to gain a free pass with the fanbase again, to make us blindly pay for more of the same?

Also, funnily enough we threw the idea out there for a “different version of the T-1000” (we titled it V2.0) pre–Terminator 6 back in 2017. The idea is that the new version 2.0 T-1000 was the result of the alternate timeline caused by the events of Terminator 2: Judgment Day.

    T-1000 Version 2 Upgrade Terminator 6

This news comes directly after the success of Terminator: Resistance (and its DLC) which features a small appearance by Mr. Patrick, and the news that Robert is also joining The Walking Dead, to reunite with Terminator producer Gale Anne Hurd.
We Got This Covered have built a reputation for questionable posting and guess work, time will tell if this news has any substance.

Hopefully this isn’t just another case of getting fans hopes up for traffic.

Do you want a new T-1000 played by Robert Patrick, or do you want them to stop making Terminator movies, at least for now?

Enough with old terminators. Its been done before and no one really cares. They should be playing the human part instead.

Keep in mind, Terminator 2 was good for its effects, its types of close-up and medium shots, its actors, lighting, colored lights, animatronics, and STAN WINSTON’s effects, but don’t forget that you guys have to MATTHEW WINSTON to GALE ANNE HURD (ALIEN 2) to ARNOLD and their children who are similar, to KRISTANNA LOKEN to JIM CAMERON.

I WOULD LIKE THAT!!!! Whether he made cameos, it would appear in some parts it would be interesting if he transformed as MISTIC did in X-MEN FIRST CLASS (REBECA ROMIJN to JENNIFER LAWRENCE) that he acquires both forms he would go from the form of ROBERT PATRICK to JONATHAN TUCKER it would be something innovative and fantastic !!!

REMEMBER THAT BATTLE ANGEL ALITA WAS EXCELLENT AS A CIBORGS MOVIE

REMEMBER TO ADD TERMINATORS OF OTHER MODELS, SHAPES AND COLORS, LIKE GREEN CAMOUFLAGE, LILAC AND VIOLET EVEN RED FOR THE BODIES

Nah, I don’t want them to bring back any of the previous characters. If they make another one (I don’t think they should but if they do) introduce new characters in the future war.

Just stop. Too many failed attempts. Bringing back old beloved actors has done nothing for any of these sequels. Just stick to Arnold again if you absolutely have to.

If it’s future war and doesn’t try to reinvent the wheel, I’m onboard. Fan films are fun, but I’m pretty sure what everyone wants is a real future war movie. Problem is…Michael Biehn, Robert Patrick, and Arnold are all senior citizens.

No matter how much they spend on de-aging, it still looks like a very expensive computer game. Howabout this:

Arnold plays a human character who is either a scientist or resistance fighter who serves as the basis for the T-800.

Tell a story that doesn’t crap all over the previous movies’ timelines (looking at you, Genisys and Dark Fate) and show the war against the machines where John Connor leads the resistance to victory.

      …and a nice elliptical ending with Reese/T-800 + T-800/T-1000 being sent back?

Nice way to close out the story, right?

      Let’s do it!

nope’ aint buying it! lol t800 yes but t1000 no! Surely if he change shape into any form of equal size, he can maintain his appearance, unless some cg work was added to make him look Young. also seeing Linda’s face in dark date was terrifying 😂 the years ain’t been kind’ 😂

I say as long as there are alternate timelines please keep them coming. I love all the terminator movies even the one without arnold. Arnold always makes it better tho. As for Patrick. If there is a way for him to get back on without being ridiculous…lets give it a go. Just keep it classy. Nothing cheesy or you risk the franchise. Im open to much more
