The 12th of May is Terminator day, it’s the day, the DATE when Kyle Reese and The Terminator came back through time from the year 2029 to the year 1984 to fulfil their missions. Kyle was sent back to save humanity by protecting the mother of the future leader of the resistance,- and the T-800 (Terminator) a cyborg – metal Endoskeleton sheathed in human flesh, was sent back by a sentient artificial intelligence called SkyNet to retroactively abort the saviour of mankind (John Connor) before he is born.

While Terminator Day doesn’t have the same importance or viral reach of Judgment Day (August 29th), Alien Day or even May the 4th (Star Wars); each year fans are becoming more aware of the date and if the franchise can become successful and attain the glory days of the first two Terminator movies, then just maybe Terminator Day can be as big of a deal as Alien Day for Terminator fans on a global scale.

Fans now are losing patience when it comes to waiting for a Terminator: Dark Fate trailer and TheTerminatorFans.com feel it is no longer a positive but the lack of a trailer is starting to feel negative – patience is thin and expectations are ramping up so high that if the T:DF trailer is not phenomenal it could explode in the faces of James Cameron, Tim Miller and the studios.

We already made the argument and reasoning as to why we didn’t want to see a Terminator: Dark Fate trailer attached to Avengers: Endgame due mainly to PG-13 concerns, as we preferred the idea that Terminator: Dark Fate’s trailer would be attached to an R Rated movie like John Wick 3 for example; John Wick 3 is released on the 17th of May in the USA.

However, before John Wick 3 is released there is a special annual date/day coming our way and that is… yes, Terminator Day (12th May) and in terms of marketing – to miss the opportunity of releasing the trailer on May 12th would be a bit remiss, if you ask us. It not only gives the studios a bit more time to get the trailer together but it also gives the fans a day to look forward to, alleviates some of the tension and makes Terminator Day more special for all of us.

If the footage is released on Terminator Day the trailer could still go on to be attached to John Wick 3 a few days later, as John Wick 3 screens first on the 15th of May 2019 in UK, Ireland, Philippines and Sweden.

One other option is on Terminator Day they could just do an initial trailer tease for the actual trailer and show fast interspersed clips of footage but at this stage it could turn an already blood hungry fan base into murdering cyborgs!

Thanks to Terminator Fans Abhishek ghosh and Jackson Bliss for their contributions to the latest video and inspiring this post.

Just can’t wait for the trailer or just a footage/teaser at least. I just want to know how well this new cast can perform, how deadly Gabriel Luna is? is he capable of delivering Robert Patrick T2’s calibre performance? Any hints about John Conor? What is plot about?
Is Arnold playing T800 or an old human?
Is the chemistry between Meckanzie & Natalia any good? Is Linda still in good form?
      So many questions!

Interestingly, May the 12th is also Mother’s day in the US!What better day to celebrate than by showing the trailer for the newest film about the toughest Mother of them all…Sarah Connor!
