Terminator Genisys Assistant Location Manager, George J. Steiner Jr. has sadly passed away at the age of 68.

    George J. Steiner Jr.

Steiner died Sept. 25 of heart attack in a New Orleans hospital, his former business partner Phil Caruso reported.

    THR

George headed the Louisiana Film Commission and also served as founding president of Filmworks New Orleans.

New Orleans was used as location in 2015’s Terminator Genisys to replicate scenes from the first movie (The Terminator), then spin them in a newly conceived direction / reset / reboot for the Terminator franchise.

We do remember, at the time, being extremely intrigued by the work which was taking place.

In the image (below) we can see the crew of Terminator Genisys covering up identifiable features, and dressing the location to have a more authentic look and feel to that of 1984 L.A.
