It was a pretty nice surprise for Terminator Fans to be presented with new content for Terminator: Resistance in the form of a DLC entitled “Infiltrator Mode“. The new free downloadable content (currently available on Steam) puts the player in the role of a heavily battle-damaged T-800 infiltration unit, which resembles The Terminator‘s iconic future war T-800 Franco Columbu.

The playthrough ends with the T-800 accessing Resistance computer files that have information on John Connor and list his mother as “Sarah Connor“, and his father as “Unknown“. Could this suggest that the next DLC will feature a campaign for Kyle Reese; and star Michael Biehn? It feels like a trail of breadcrumbs for players of T: Resistance.
Fans would love Michael Biehn to return as Kyle Reese in a video game, and well, we had a blast when Michael played Sergeant Rex “Power” Colt in Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. Playing as Michael was sweet, and damn that soundtrack by Power Glove rocked.
You could argue that SkyNet would already have this information, as it had access to all government data before the war, or it could be seen as a nice call-back to T2 and the T-1000 accessing the police records for John Connor via police car, but we’d like to believe there is more to this than meets the eye!
Would you like to see the return of Kyle Reese in a video game leading up his sending back in time to protect Sarah Connor?

Digging through the game files there are actually wip 3d models of t600’s and kyle reese with several new levels as well, and a completed HK Centurion. It seems that there is going to be some follow up dlc with Reese as a (playable?) character

I was up late last night playing through the infiltrator mission. So freaking cool! I like the idea of it being a prequel, but I assumed the file that the T-800 was looking at was just a callback to T2. Why would a soldier’s profile list their parents’ names?
Playing as Kyle Reese in the future war would be fantastic. It would be great if it opened with the scene where the Columbu terminator is attacking the hideout! Take the intro through to the photo of Sarah burning, then immediately have the player pick up control, trying to either escape or take down the terminator. We never find out how Reese survived, but we know he has nightmares about the experience, so this is fertile ground for more story.
