Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) is a horrible condition in which the person suffering the illness becomes trapped inside their own body, they become unable to speak and function. A debilitating condition that makes a person unable to look after themselves; research continues in aid of finding a cure for the disease. The Ice Bucket challenge has educated people about this life destroying disease. The focus however is not to throw water over your head but to donate and raise awareness of the condition.
Pharmaceutical companies aren’t that willing to fund research due to the fact that the disease effects the minority and therefore research in the field is not deemed profitable, so any help is always welcomed.
The creator of Terminator (Jim Cameron) and Skydance Productions (the producers of Terminator: Genisys) and cast of Genisys got involved.
It all began on the 19th of August 2014 when Tom Cruise and Chris McQuarrie (Mission Impossible) took the challenge and then nominated David Ellison (producer of Terminator: Genisys and owner of Skydance Productions) to do the challenge. This video was uploaded to the official Mission Impossible Youtube account. Mission impossible is another franchise owned by Skydance Productions.
On the 21st of August the creator of Terminator Jim Cameron took the challenge and nominated The Terminator himself.
Although still to this date Arnold Schwarzenegger has still not taken the challenge, could his previous heart conditions put him at risk doing such a challenge or will he complete his challenge in the coming days? If Arnold can’t take the challenge we hope he does a Charlie Sheen and makes a nice donation gesture video. Usually you are supposed to take the challenge within 24 hours although some people seem slow to act.
Also on the 21st of August David Ellison responded and accepted the challenge set by Tom Cruise and Chris McQuarrie. Challenging Jai Courtney, Emilia Clarke and Matt Smith (Terminator: Genisys cast members).
Matt Smith (possible younger John Connor) quickly completed his challenge on the same day and was first to accept David Ellison’s challenge… the video first appeared on the official Skydance Productions Youtube account.
Next to respond to David Ellison’s challenge was Jai Courtney (the new Kyle Reese). The Video was also uploaded by Skydance August 22nd to the official Skydance Youtube Account. Jai then challenged Jason Clarke…
On the 25th of August Skydance uploaded Emilia Clarke’s challenge video.
This now leaves Jason Clarke and Arnold Schwarzenegger to respond to their challenges…
