We recently reported on the possibility of the T-800 Terminator joining the online battle royale game, Fortnite, as part of CHAPTER 2 – SEASON 5‘s ‘Zero Point‘, and now it’s looking even more likely that the cybernetic assassin could soon be entering the ‘loop‘.
We were tipped off previously by Terminator Fan, ‘The Stikanator‘, on Twitter, who had noticed the potential for a playable Terminator skin in the game…
“Fortnite recently launched its newest season which is based around hunters and dimensions colliding. There was a recent crossover with God of War which added Kratos into the game, and there has been a leak that indicated Master Chief from the Halo franchise was coming as well. When you look at other r rated crossovers in the past; John Wick, Borderlands, Stranger Things, and the fact that Fortnite has referenced The Terminator numerous times before. It all just really adds up.”

The official description for Fortnite Season 5 is:

Epic Games – Fortnite
Now another iconic piece of Terminator history has been introduced into Fortnite, in the form of the 1887 Winchester lever-action shotgun – a weapon most Terminator Fans will recognise from Terminator 2: Judgment Day and T2 3-D: Battle Across Time.

If we were looking for a Terminator clue in that description of the shotgun from Epic Games – it of course makes us think of the following dialogue from T2:
“She’s gonna blow him away!”

The “Lever Action Shotgun” weapon drop has been released ahead of schedule with Fortnite’s v15.20 patch, and judging by our time using it; we feel its early introduction could be to iron out bugs before a potential Terminator appearance.
The gun has a forend wrap, but if the T-800 appears – it’ll probably disappear for Uncle Bob’s usage of the weapon.
The gun itself would be a great standalone Terminator reference for fans of the franchise, but coming hot on the heels of the T2 Persol sunglasses which were sent out in care packages to streamers to whet their gaming appetites… well, that’s two T2 clues so far…
Could Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Uncle Bob be about to enter the colorful world of Fortnite?
Fortnite has also previously featured another Terminator 2 easter egg, in the form of the classic Sarah Connor wardrobe attire; so it isn’t outside of the realm of possibility that we could be seeing a playable T2 T-800 skin dropping into the Epic Games property sometime soon.
Maybe Linda Hamilton’s Sarah Connor likeness could be next, who knows… ?
